This is an easy, 32-count tango sequence described by Albert Newman of Philadelphia in 1914.
The Position
Tango Position and Closed Position, as illustrated below.
The Footwork
Part I - Back the Lady, Back the Man (8 counts): In closed position, back the Follow four steps along LOD (1, 2, 3, 4). Then back the Lead four steps against LOD (5, 6, 7, 8).
Part II - Two-Step, Dip, and Point (8 counts): Side-close-side into the center of the room (a slow two-step, 1-and-2), followed by a dip diagonally back on the Lead's right and forward on the Follow's left (3), then rock forward out of it, pointing the dipping foot to the side (4). Repeat opposite, toward the outside wall, with the Lead again dipping back (5-and-6, 7, 8).
Part III - Zig Zag Cross-Points (8 counts): Cross Lead's left and Follow's right in front (1), then point opposite foot toward outside wall (2). Repeat opposite, crossing this foot in front (3), and pointing the first foot toward the center of the room (4). Repeat it all (5, 6, 7, 8).
Part IV - Rocking Turn (8 counts): Lead steps back left as the Follow steps forward right, against LOD. Then the Lead rocks forward right, as the Follow rocks back left, turning 1/4 to the right. Repeat three more times, the Lead rocking back toward the center of the room, along LOD, and toward the outside wall progressively, ending up facing LOD.
