Helter Skelter Schottische

Introduction

The Helter Skelter Schottische is a chaotic schottische mixer described by Fran Riel and Buleah Davis in their 1966 book Happy Dancing, Handbook of Dance Mixers.



The Position

Individuals scattered.


The Dance

Part I - Find Partner (2 bars): During the A part of the dance (run-2-3-hop, run-2-3-hop), find a partner.

Part II - Do Variation (2 bars): During the B part, dance any B part variation.

Then separate from partner to repeat from the beginning.


The Music

The recommended music is "any good schottische."
