Contemporary Description

This is a late-nineteenth century waltz sequence by Ross Granger, described in Kopp's American Prompter in 1896.

The Position

Open two hands (holding both hands at waist level) for Part I. Waltz position for Part II.

The Dance

Part I (8 Bars)

In open two hands:

Slide left foot to side (1), cross right in front, raised (2), and hop (3). Repeat opposite (4, 5, 6).

Slide left foot to side (1), pause (2), close right to left (3), Slide left foot to side (4), cross right in front, raised (5), and hop (6).

Repeat the first four bars on the opposite foot.

Part II (8 Bars)

In waltz position:

Waltz eight bars.
