General Description

This is an easy American polka sequence composed by H. L. Braun in 1900.


The Position

Both facing LOD, holding inside hands.


The Dance

Part I - Point, Polka, and Promenade (4 bars): Point outside toe forward (1), point outside toe across inside foot (2), polka forward (3-and-4), then walk four steps along LOD (5, 6, 7, 8), turning inward to face against LOD on the last count.

Part II - Repeat Opposite (4 bars): Repeat opposite to return to starting point (1, 2, 3-and-4, 5, 6, 7, 8), taking closed position at the end.

Parts III & IV - Four-Slide Galop (4 bars): Two full turns of Four Slide Galop.

Repeat from the beginning.


The Music

No music is specified, but the dance is described as being in polka time.
