General Description

This is an easy polka sequence composed by H. L. Braun of Pittsburg in 1901.

It's notable for including an inward rollaway.


The Position

Both facing LOD, holding inside hands.


The Dance

Part I - Promenade and Inward Rollaway (4 bars): Starting outside feet, a full polka* promenade along LOD (1-and-2, 3-and-4). Then, face partner and complete a full turn solo (1-and-2, 3-and-4), Leads clockwise and Follows counterclockwise (an inward rollaway).

* Technically, this is described as a polka redowa in 2/4 time.

Part II - Four-Slide Galop (4 bars): One full turn of Glide Polka (a.k.a. Four Slide Galop) (1-and-2-and-3-and-4, 5-and-6-and-7-and-8).

Repeat from the beginning.


The Music

No music is specified, but the dance is in 2/4 time.
